Ύμνος στην μητέρα…

 

Στο μπαλκόνι μια φορά
μια μάνα στέκεται καμαρωτά
δίπλα της, τα δυο της παιδιά.

Ένα αμούστακο παιδί
και ένας λεβέντης δυο μέτρα
δίπλα της έχει σταθεί,
θέλει να την πάρει αγκαλιά
μα διστάζει για ακόμα μια φορά.

Πάρε τη μάνα σου αγκαλιά
δεν πρόκειται να έχεις
ευκαιρία άλλη φορά,
δείξε της πόσο την αγαπάς
και άσε τα δήθεν
…είμαι μεγάλος πια!

Εμείς που μεγαλώσαμε φτωχικά
δεν είχαμε δώρα πολλά,
απλά μια αγκαλιά και δυο φιλιά.

Η μάνα δεν θέλει πολλά
λίγα της είναι αρκετά,
στους ώμους της βάρη πολλά
μα τα καταφέρνει μια χαρά!

Διδαχή προς τα παιδιά:

Πάρτε τη μάνα σας αγκαλιά,
ίσως να ‘ ναι τώρα δα 
η τελευταία αγκαλιά 
να μην έχετε άλλη φορά…

 

Ode to mother

Once upon a time on a balcony
a mother is standing with pride
with her two children by her side.

One is a young boy
the other is a tall handsome man.
He stands by her side
wanting to hug her
but he hesitates once more.

Hug your mother
you don’t get
to have another chance
show her how much you love her
don’t say that
you are old enough for that!

Those who were raised in poverty
didn’t have many things,
just hugs and kisses.
Mother doesn’t need much,
a few things are enough.
She carries a lot
on her shoulders
but she is doing all right!
