What makes a teacher strong?
What differentiates the best from the rest? There’s no shortage of bodies (some dramatically misguided) attempting to solve this riddle. The answers are nebulous at best. The Textbook Colloquium The Textbook Colloquium exists to promote the interdisciplinary study of textbooks of all kinds.
The Colloquium’s journal PARADIGM appeared twice a year and carries articles, notes, and reviews. Volume 1 closed in 1999 with nearly 30 numbers; volume 2 began in 2000 and is now complete with eight issues. Volume 3 will open in the first half of 2005 and closed with Number 3 in 2007. Volume 3, Number 3 marks, sadly, the final issue of PARADIGM.

When Akihiko Takahashi was a junior in college in 1978, he was like most of the other students at his university in suburban Tokyo. The 8 Types of Learning Events You Need to Have on Your eLearning Course
A good eLearning course requires the right combination of learning events. But what are these exactly? A learning event is a simplified description of the student’s learning activity. IF all the hopes and hype are warranted, a nondescript third-floor loft in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan offers a glimpse of the future, for New York City and for Cornell University. In truth, it doesn’t look like much — just cubicles and meeting rooms in space donated by Google. But looks deceive; here, with little fanfare, Cornell’s new graduate school of applied sciences is being rolled out.
